Brand Ambassador: Utilizing Content Creation to Plan Events






As a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority at Western University, I had the exciting opportunity to help run the organization's Instagram and TikTok accounts. Through the creation of engaging photos and videos, my goal was to attract new students to join the sorority and promote its events and initiatives.

One of the most memorable events I helped to plan, organize, and execute was the sorority's 30th-anniversary gala, awards, and dinner. Preparing for this event was a significant undertaking that required months of planning and coordination with vendors and alumni. To ensure the event's success, I meticulously compiled a comprehensive contact list of alumni dating back 30 years by scouring old yearbooks and social media platforms.

The hard work paid off, and the event was a huge success, with over 500 graduated alumni attending to celebrate the Alpha Gamma Delta Chapter's accomplishments.

Beyond this event, I was also heavily involved in planning philanthropic initiatives, such as the annual Rose Ball, which raised funds for our charity that fights hunger. Another successful event was the Home Run for Hunger, a friendly baseball competition where sororities and fraternities came together to donate food and raise funds for our philanthropic mission. Through strategic planning and promotion on social media and around campus, we were able to make a meaningful impact on our community through initiatives like these.

My connections within the school community have enabled me to become a brand ambassador for Weekender beverage.  In this role, I was tasked with promoting the product across the Western University campus and online through social media platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

My passion for creating engaging content was put to the test, as I was responsible for filming and editing weekly TikTok videos and taking high-quality photos of the product. Through my efforts, I was able to showcase the beverage in a positive light and attract a large following of potential consumers.

In addition to content creation, I also excelled in my ability to connect with the student population and build a loyal customer base for Weekender. By hosting events featuring the product and engaging with students through social media, I was able to raise awareness of the brand and foster a strong sense of brand loyalty.

My experience as a brand ambassador has taught me valuable skills in marketing and promotion, as well as the importance of building a strong brand image and connecting with potential consumers through engaging content. With my passion for creativity and my knack for connecting with people, I am confident that I have the skills necessary to excel in any brand ambassador role.

So, when I was hired onto the Goodwills Marketing team, I was excited to put my social media skills to use and manage their various platforms.
